Introducing the first in a series of courses designed to give you the best possible start in the industry, spread over two days of lessons this course will allow you to develop your ideas and concepts through to a finished and formatted script. The best scripts will be presented to our Film and TV department and may be used to create a short film - you might see your name on screen sooner than you think!
Futureworks have brought in the expertise of tutor Beth McCann to deliver the Script Writing training. Beth is a lecturer at Salford and Bolton Universities on both Bachelor and Master Script Writing degree programmes and delivers workshops on Scriptwriting through her own company.
Beth also acts as a script consultant for Northwest Vision and Media and most recently helped to develop six short films which are set to go into production. In addition to supporting new writers on up to fifty scripts a week, Beth is also a professional actor.

Course Details.
A step by step introduction to script writing for film. Perfect for new writers wanting to learn scriptwriting for the big screen.
These sessions will introduce participants to the principles of writing a script for film or television. By the end of the scriptwriting course each participant will have written their own 10-minute short film. If you have lots of good ideas or simply don't know where to start in writing a good script, this introductory script writing course will arm you with the basics that you'll need to get started.
