Audio engineering students given head start with free state-of-the-art recording kit

**THIS PROMOTION HAS NOW ENDED**
Futureworks School of Media in Manchester is giving away a free digital music recording kit and set of professional headphones to applicants of its Audio Engineering & Production course in March.
The Audio Engineering & Production course will give students in-depth knowledge of sound engineering, sound recording, music production and audio post production and guides them all the way to Digidesign Certified Operator status, an industry recognised certification in the world's leading digital recording platform.
Graduates will find themselves equipped for a variety of roles including recording engineer, broadcast engineer, studio technician and sound designer.
To give students that register from now until March 26th a head start, Futureworks is giving away an easy-to-use, pocket sized audio recording kit which gives users access to a 48 track mixing environment, a suite of audio processing plugins and virtual instruments. Plug it into your laptop or use it on the move; the MBox Micro is a fully functioning Pro Tools interface complete with the latest software, Pro Tools 8*. Students will also benefit from a pair of industry-standard Sennheiser HD25 SP-s headphones.
There are spaces on both the one year Certificate programme and the two year Diploma programme for this course, which will commence in March. Lectures are held twice a week from 7pm until 10pm. The course also requires at least 10 hours a week of practical time which is flexible and can be booked to suit a student's availability.
Futureworks School of Media is home to the highest calibre audio facility found anywhere in Europe. It offers highly practical, commercial-specification studios and software with hands-on tuition to give its students the experience of a real-life professional environment.
Students have until March 26th to apply and must pay a minimum six months tuition fees in order to qualify. You can apply for the Audio Engineering course here.
