Futureworks Student Joins London 2012
Futureworks is delighted for TV & Film Diploma student Joanna Hailes as she will take the position of 'dynamic trainee' during the London 2012 Olympic Games this summer. Joanna will be working with the European Broadcasting Union's Media Department, assisting onsite producers and reporters to record, edit, encode and publish clips and news items related to the Games.
The Geneva-based Eurovision Sports News team will be using a Mac and Final Cut Pro-based workflow this summer. Joanna is an Apple Certified Pro in Final Cut Pro, a certification she received as a student at Futureworks.
Joanna had this to say about the news: "I'm really looking forward to working at the Olympics this summer, I'm sure it will be both challenging and exciting."

"I'm looking forward to the broadcast experience I will gain working at the biggest sporting event in the world."
During the London 2012 Games, Joanna will work with a full production team in charge of filming, editing and publishing Sports News clips. They will be based at the International Broadcasting Centre (IBC) in the Olympic Park, in East London.
Congratulations Joanna!
